Seattle

Seattle is an amazing city. It is like a mini San Francisco but without the big hills to trek up and down (only mini ones). Seattle has lots of different areas that offer something for everyone. Downtown there is Pike Place Market, which offers lots of fresh fish, restaurants, shopping, and local crafts.

Another great Seattle destination is the Experience Music Project (EMP). EMP is similar to the rock and roll hall of fame but in my opinion better. If features all types of artists and music genres but tends to focus the great bands to come out of the Seattle area. Pearl Jam, Nirvana, and Jimi Hendrix are just a few. They feature an entire exhibit on Jimi Hendrix that holds many of his guitars, original lyrics, and tons of other memorabilia.

Depending on when you are visiting there are lots of different festivals going on. Freemont Fair in June has a huge parade, lots of street venders and offers people watching that rivals Las Vegas. These events are very fun to attend if you are in the area at the right time, and if you don’t you will be missing out.

Lastly, when visiting Seattle Lake Washington needs to be a stop in your itinerary. In the summer the weather will most likely be sunny and warm. Taking a boat out on the lake to do water skiing, wake boarding, tubing, or anything fun is a great way to spend the day. There are also lots of docks all around that have restaurants and places to stop and get off the water.
