A wonderful, and tasteful dining experience in Laguna Beach, California.

Laguna Beach has numerous hip dining experiences.  The quaint streets are lined with eateries ranging from modern Italian to Fusian and local joints.  Everyone has a different liking when it comes to restaurants, however, Sapphire does an excellent job of satisfying every one’s taste buds.  The restaurant is extremely creative in its menu options.  The lunch menu ranges from a Kobe Burger–quite delicious, and cooked perfectly to order (I like mine medium-rare, with a nice warm pink center), to a lunch box.  The lunch box changes on a regular basis, but basically includes a sampler of menu items.  The nice Asian style wood box includes slices of rare Ahi, Thai Chicken, Japanese Salad, Spinach Salad, and several other tasty items.  It serves as an excellent appetizer for the table to get a taste of what is going to be served.  The lunch menu is extremely well built and even includes a simple chicken salad sandwich for those who simply want a basic lunch.

An interesting addition to the restaurant’s lovely modern decor is the community table on the patio.  It is a large wood table that can seat several groups.  It is quite convenient during lunch when you do not have time to wait–but all the other tables are taken.

For dinner, the menu is quite extensive and includes such tasty appetizers as Home-Fried Potato Chips with Sea Salt to Vietnamese Duck Spring Rolls, Lettuce Wrap, Fresh Asian Herb , Sweet Chili-Lime Sauce.  Both of these starters are quite tasty–and a good size–enough to share.  The Hawaiian Style Steamed Halibut is phenomenal, and the Pan-seared Beef Tenderloin & Lobster Ravioli is simply delicious.  On weekends, the restaurant gets busy later–about 8:00 P.M., so it is recommended that you make a reservation.

Do not miss out on the warm peach cobbler for dessert–it has a warm crisp crust, with fresh sweet peaches, and some soothing vanilla-bean ice cream!
